This week Indian based company Nazara Technologies announced its investment of $20 million to create an E-Sports league in India. The company plans to establish a subsidiary company under the new label Nazara Games. Despite the company primarily being a mobile games developer, they plan to showcase PC games like CS: GO and Dota 2.
The company plans to hold two e-sports seasons every year, with six teams participating. The six teams will be selected via open online qualifying tournaments. Any competitive video game player from India is welcome to try their hand at qualifying, once online registration is opened.
Nazara Technologies has put in $20 million for a five year investment. With the company’s recent growth, the establishment of the first ever Indian E-sports league is sure to boost the mobile games company even further.
