CS: GO

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a first person shooter developed by Valve Corporation. The game was released in August 2012, but since then has gotten more popular in the e-sports scene thanks to a series of updates released by the developers.

The gameplay is centered around two teams either planting or defusing a bomb. Before every round, teams are given a certain amount of money to purchase weapons and equipment. Here players must be mindful of team composition to win the game. Positioning on the map, timing, and team chemistry are vital to win each match. Players also pay money for in-game transactions for things like weapon skins, knives, and gloves.

Thanks to the enormous player base, with more than 30 million copies bought on Steam, CS:GO is a game that may stay near the top of the e-sports scene for years to come.
